IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! Please read and share!!!

As of today, SNARR Northeast is NO LONGER PULLING ANY NEW DOGS. We are committed to the ones already in rescue, and the ones we have already promised to take and who are awaiting transport, but we simply cannot afford to continue at the rate we have been going.

We have recently been hit with dogs that have incurred MASSIVE vet bills ( Bucka, Lance, Chevy, Carrie and Tyson all have totaled over $17,000). That is not including Bucka's additional surgeries which will be another $7500, and all the other dogs in our care requiring vetting
( shots/spay/neuter/worming/general health needs etc.)

We need to take some time to focus seriously on fundraising efforts. We understand that everyone is probably sick of seeing our fundraising links and our requests for financial assistance. But the bottom line is, we can only do so much.


We receive literally hundreds of messages a day asking us to help dogs in need. We do the best that we can, but our own pockets only go so deep.

We put up a fundraising challenge about two weeks ago. Although many donated ( greatly appreciated!), we did not get nearly the response or the help that we asked for and so desperately need. We understand not everyone can donate, but our challenge to our supporters, was to find ONE person, friend, coworker etc. to donate. With almost 7,000 people on this page, clearly many chose not to assist with our challenge :((( This really disappointed us, as we at SNARR try so hard to help with all the requests that we get.

We are posting the link again, and are asking again, to accept this challenge. If we are able to meet our goal, we will resume rescuing as usual.

What many do not realize, is that often, rescues carry very large balances at vets' offices, boarding places etc. SNARR does NOT operate that way!! All of our bills are always paid in full, our fosters are always reimbursed and we do not owe anyone money.
