Restaurant recommendations in or around Babylon
For DD christening. Big enough for at least 30 people. The church is in Babylon so I would like it fairly close and not crazy expensive! TIA

We used Francesco's for the christening. They did a great job and it was very reasonable. You can also try the Babylon Carriage House.

La Famiglia Captain Bills (though they're in Bay Shore, it's really not far at all from Babylon) Horace and Sylvia's
I like the Argyle Grill but I find it to be kind of loud and I don't think I'd want a party there because of that.

Re: Restaurant recommendations in or around Babylon
I had my DS christening at Mulberry's in Babylon. Price was phenomenal and food was out of this world. I highly recommend them.

The Post Office actually has a nice room now for catering, it might be worth checking out.

My best friend had her son's christening at La Famiglia. There is a private room upstairs for parties and the food is good! I also think the price was reasonable.

Villa Monaco's in West Islip by Good Sam. My bridal shower was there the food was amazing and I believe they have renovated the restaurant since then.

Re: Restaurant recommendations in or around Babylon
Argyle Grill and Carriage house are both booked already. I don't think Mulberry is big enough, my baby shower was there.
Any feedback on Horace and Sylvia's? It looked nice from what I could see on their website, but I asked my SIL and she said it was a dirty bar....I got a completely different feel from the pics so just curious...

Horace & Sylvia's is a nice restaurant - unless its changed tremedoulsy in the past couple of years, it's definitely not a dirty bar . I would say its somewhat similar in style/feel, to Argyle.

Yes, we were just there for my birthday last month. It's actually really nice. The waitress was a bitcch, but the owner is really nice

It's def not a "dirty bar". It is a small restaurant with a pretty nice, but small, bar area actually, with a fireplace. However, it doesn't have much space for a private party. It is kinda narrow and dark in there as well.
