Help! When dropping off school supplies .. Or kid bringing them in..do you label stuff?

Do I just throw everything into a bag and label that? Or each item?

Do I take pencils out of boxes?

What do teachers prefer?

we were told to label everything..so I did, including 24 individual pencils..fun lol

I did not label each pencil! That would have taken forever.
I sharpened all of the pencils and put them in a labeled ziplock bag. I labeled the box of crayons. I think the expo markers I opened the pack and put them in a labeled ziplock. I did label tissues and baby wipes, only because it said to label everything, but I felt silly doing it.
