Is anyone here on SB diet?

I started South Beach on Friday and am curious if anyone else is doing it and how they are doing?

Re: Is anyone here on SB diet?

DH and I started Saturday. We are doing OK so far. I think I have lost 4-5 pounds so far, not sure about DH. I am sure he has but he refuses to weigh in. Me I am scale obsessed. I swear I weigh in 10x a day.

How are you doing? Any tips?

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear some phase 1 tips from people out there. Day 4 and I need some variety!!

Re: Is anyone here on SB diet?

I have been doing everything on the site. I have been eating either 1% cottage cheese for breakfast or eggs with boars head boiled ham and lowfat swiss cheese. Lunch has been pretty much either a salad with protein and olive or canola oil based salad dressing that meets SB requirements. Snack is normally 20 nuts or 2 tbsp of PB. Dinner is normally a protein with baby spinach salad with roasted red peppers (no sugar in them) and fresh mozzarella. Dessert is a no sugar added fudgescicle.

It seems like we are the only two. How are you doing this week?

I just made the chili, stuffed peppers and nuclear cheesecake from the website. The chili was awesome. I'll let you know about the other two tomorrow.

I have to look up the nuclear cheesecake. At the end of week one I was down 4 pounds . . . But since it looks like I have gained one back- don't know why . . .

What fruits are you allowed to eat in phase 1? I am trying to do it without buying the book. Chat Icon

The nuclear cheesecake is pretty nasty. I think maybe I overcooked it. Of course I am eating it anyway, but its really not very goodChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
