Cocktail casual
My 20 year high school reunion is coming up and it is at a restaurant/bar and the invite says dress code is cocktail casual. Would you wear a lbd or pants and a nice top?

Either or. I'd probably wear a dress, something I'd wear to work. Like today I have on a high waisted pencil skirt with a flowy top- it's actually all attached so it's a dress. I'd wear something like that.

I would liken it to the going out equivalent of business casual - and basically I think they included it to ensure people know no jeans.
I would do a LBD, a wrap dress, nice pants and a nice top or skirt and top.
