Do you get each child their own cake for occasions?
We are baptizing our twins later this month and I'm about to order the cake. I'm trying to decide if I should get 1 giant cross cake or 2 separate ones that are smaller. Do you buy each child their own cake for their birthdays, too? Thanks!

Baptism we did one cake. 1st birthday: cake smash each own big cupcake and for their party one cake. When they are older and request different things I'll do 2 cakes.

I got 2 cardinali cakes. they messed up royally, brought it at 4pm (party ended at 5). nobody ate the cakes plus they were ginormous. i would have gotten 1 if i did it again (and NOT from cardinali, as absolutely deliciious as it was)

We always do 2 small cakes. But we also have only celebrated bdays 1 and 2. My wife is a twin and can recall every childhood pic that her and her sister had to share a cake. With the idea that it was bad enough that they had to share a bday. That being said... We do 2 cakes. Lol

We've only celebrated 1st bday so far... I had cupcakes for desert for everyone and 2 jumbo cupcakes for them.
Also, ont heir actual bday, I got 2 mini cakes from Fairway for them... it was just us at home.
We plan on always giving them their own cake somehow....They share enough already.

Re: Do you get each child their own cake for occasions?
for their 1st birthday we did one big cake and then they each had their own smash cakes.
second birthday i did two separate cakes.
I like the idea of them not having to share their cake since they already have to share their birthday.

Re: Do you get each child their own cake for occasions?
Birthdays they always get their own cake. If we have a friend party and separate family party at one of those events their may be a combined cake, but then at the other it will be separate. I let each one pick out what he wants so for that one day they don't have to share at least the cake since they have to share everything else all the time, even their party.
At a christening or something else, I would do a combined cake.
