Getting makeup done at Sephora v. Nars

I need to get my make up done for a friends wedding and I;m thinking of getting it done at Sephora or the Nars counter at Lord and Talylor. Does anyone have any experience with any of these places. Im looking for a formal but more natural/not over the top look.

I've gotten my makeup done twice I think at Nars in L&T and while I liked the makeup it was heavily done even though I asked for something more natural. I was going out at night so I didn't mind as much but not really what I was looking for.
