Another day if dead question- outfit

I came up with a great outfit that I already own. It's a lace bustier/tank top in nude and black. I have a black satin mermaid skirt with a lace train. My sister's friend was an awesome peacock for Halloween and had this bustled skirt custom made on etsy. She offered to lend it to me, but she is really more of an acquaintance then a friend. Shoud I just stick with what I have, or borrow the skirt? I feel a little funny borrowing it, but I do think it would look really cool.
