Any special ed teachers with NYC DOE still waiting to get their SESIS arbitration pay??

Me! I haven't heard anything about the Nov. 1 payment either. I called the union a few weeks ago, was sent straight to voicemail. Got a voicemail back asking me to be "a little patient."
We have been waiting since last Spring!! So frustrated.

I am so fed up! I was told in July we would have it by the end of October. Hasn't happened. I have called the UFT every day this week and left voicemails- no one has called me back. I'm going to continue to call everyday bc I'm beyond annoyed. Someone should at least call me back.

Finally got a call back! Apparently there are 2,500 teachers in the DOE who have still not received SESIS pay. The union salary rep who called me back said they are fighting it, they don't have a new date we should be paid by (as of June the cutoff was October) and asked to please be patient. Not for nothing, but waiting 7 months for pay that is due is patient enough in my opinion

Thanks for the update- 7 months of patience when we are owed pay is A LOT if you ask me :) I know that the union is fighting for us, it's just so frustrating.
