Whole Foods

On the "Trader Joes fails" thread a lot of people were saying that the meat was gross, smelled off, etc. I've never actually been to TJ; have never lived near one.

I do sometimes go to Whole Foods though. Funny enough, I feel the exact same way about their meats. I never buy raw pre-packaged chicken there anymore because i can't stand the packaging (and half the time it's leaking - how can it be safe it the package isn't sealed properly and is literally dripping?!) and i'm just generally grossed out by it - seems slimy and weird.

Anyone else feel this way? I know a lot of people love WF. Maybe it's just my particular store or something. Their guacamole is to die for, so i'll continue going just for that if nothing else

Yes! I am surprised given a store like it is, they don't have more fresh organic chicken like say, Wild By Nature had when I used to go there.

really? i never had an issue with their meats - it always seems fresh to me. Which did you buy? They have different brands of chicken - i haven't bought the ones that are vacuum sealed. I also like their red meat selection, never had an issue! With fariway organic meat on the other hand, it seems to go bad in a day and sometimes doesn't seem so fresh.
