DH does not want Casey to go to the dog park..

He thinks she is too crazy and jumpy and that people will get mad at her...

We've never brought her before (she is VERY hyper) but I thought it might help her socially and get some exercise..

Do you think people that bring their dogs to the dog park (esp the big dog section) would get annoyed? Wouldn't you kind of have that expectation? I know I would...I would wear an old pair of jeans...but then again, that's me..I love animals..

Absolutely bring her! I just love the hyperactive dogs at the park- they are the most fun to watch. Dogs love to chase each other- and the hyper ones are usually the ones to keep the games going. Most "regulars" at the park will welcome the new addition and laugh at the antics. Plus, Casey is really a beautiful dog- she'll get lots of lovin' from the regulars.

The exercise Luna gets from running around at the dog park is unlike any walk I can give her. She's so zonked that she usually sleeps the rest of the day. If Casey is normally wild, I can almost guarantee you may see a much calmer side of her if you start bringing her.

When we first got Luna, she was terrified of EVERYTHING. Her first visit to the dog park was stressful, because she ran away from everyone and growled. After a few visits though, she really started enjoying herself. Now, as soon as we pull into the street the park is on, she starts wagging her tail and whining. She LOVES the dog park now, and is so much more social with other animals now.

We brought Sim to the dog beach and we were both so nervous about bringing him. But he turned out to love it and so did the people. He just wanted to play and when he got tired he would just lay down and let the little dogs jump on him.

I think it would be great for casey. You meet such great people and it's nice to have the dogs interact.

Casey behaves WONDERFULLY. DH must be joking, no?? She isn't nearly as hyper and powerful as lot of the dogs you will find there. And as long as she isn't aggressive, there is no reason she can't be there. If another dog is a wimp then hey that's their problem...

I've never met Casey, but anyone who has met Misty can attest to the fact that she is a true blue maniac. The dog park is the best place for her. The people who are there don't really care about being jumped on(they can't help it, they get so excited) and usually the dogs are too busy playing to really care about us.
As someone else said - the best dogs are the ones who are hyper and get the other dogs to chase them around.

LOL thanks everyone I will let him know....I have to convince him..she has so much energy and big goofy casey smiles to give!!!
