dreams, wishes, goals, plans for 2014
with about six weeks left in 2013, let's start planning all the amazing things we will accomplish in 2014!!
what are the things that you want to do in 2014 related to your health and fitness?
i hope to... * back off on running distance and enjoy all the 5ks that come my way. * i want to spend time concentrating on increasing my speed. i know that i'm the slowest runner known to man and i would rather be the second slowest runner known to man * i also want to finally shake off the last 20lbs that are still plaguing me... i plan to do this my getting much more serious in my plant-based diet (i've allowed cheese to come back into my life. i need to cut that out and sugar)
what do you plan to do?

Great idea! Last year, I posted I wanted to lose 25 lbs to get back to my goal weight, and I lost over 30 lbs! This board definitely helped me stay accountable and motivated with my health and fitness goals.
This year, I would like to:
1. Find some kind of exercise regimen that works for me! I am so bad at exercising regularly. I start something, and then I get off track and don't stick with it. I may try to go back to running (I did couch to 5 K a few years ago) or start taking zumba classes again (which I always enjoy);
2. Be more vigilant about getting regular checkups (dentist, general practitioner, obgyn). I tend to be lax about this, but preventative health and regular checkups are important; and
3. I want to continue to maintain my weight. I've been maintaining since June, and I want to keep on track with it.

1. Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. 2. Do at least five 5k's. 3. Splurge on myself more. Stop using the boxed hair dyes and start getting spoiled at a salon! 4. Stop sweating the small stuff. 5. Slow dance with DH more.

This has been a big year for me after a Nov 2012 auto accident. I did a 1st race & 1/2 marathon & signed up for another in Dec.
I still dont have a full interest, but never say never.
I do hope to: run a few 1/2 marathons in 2014 Increase my speed Incorporate even more variety to my cross training/strength training

my bff and i are SERIOUSLY talking about the LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL HALF MARATHON
the medal is a GIANT PENNY!!!!!
ETA: we just registered!! and booked a hotel room!!
we're doing this!

I'd love to start couch to 5K. I just re-started Primal/Paleo and its going well(only about 4 days in) I want to be healthy this year! Oh and skinny jeans wouldn't be bad either-actually correction. To look GOOD in skinny jeans lol

1. Definitely back off running distance for a bit and give myself a break. My goal for 2013 was running a full marathon and that's another thing I get to cross off my bucket list. 2. Get some shorter races in- maybe another half marathon in the spring? 3. More Strength training!!! Higher weights!!! Training for this past marathon took a bulk of my time, so I didn't have as much time to devote to strength training. I really would like to pick that up. I want shoulder muscles to show through!!!!!!! 4. Maybe try insanity. I have always been dying to try!!!
