Re: TG for 2
Do you mean Thanksgiving?
Honestly, I would go out or at least order in from Bens or someplace.

Re: TG for 2
I would do this
Make a turkey breast (not whole turkey) make one or two favorite vegetables mashed or sweet potato stuffing you can do can of cranberry sauce (portion is just enough for 2-4 people)
dessert
you can make mini pies brownies, cookies
Then Friday you can have thanksgiving repeat of any leftovers.
Just because it's 2 doesnt mean you can do it. You sure can, just smaller portions =)

Re: TG for 2
I would do a turkey breast with stuffing, sweet potatos, cranberry sauce and green beans and a yummy dessert. We do Christmas Day every year just me DH and DS. I just scale down what I would normally do if lots of people were coming.

ITA! Though I'd probably do a whole roast chicken instead. My DH and I could take one of those out just the two of us no problem! And even if not, leftover roast chicken is one of my favorite things.

TG for 2
I've done a pre-thanksgiving for 3. I made a turkey breast with pan gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and green bean casserole. Maybe one or two other things but to me those were necessities. You can definitely do it (especially if you don't mind some leftovers). Just decide what are most important to you and your SO.

TG for 2
I would make a small turkey (so I could have leftovers) and then the sides.
It would be a reg dinner with lots for leftovers.

this is what we do. We always make our own TG so we make everything the way we like it lol. We are always disappointed when we go to family for TG lol so we started our own a few weeks before. We just had it last week and so yummy.

Re: TG for 2
I agree, you have to first pick what the favorites are between you 2. and you'll probably have leftovers no matter what-- but who doesn't love thanksgiving leftovers??

TG for 2
Bon appetite magazine had two really good turkey recipes in their November issue that would work well for Thanksgiving for two--one was turkey legs and thighs (it was so good!) and the other was turkey breasts (haven't tried it yet but it sounds really good). Then you could make a couple of sides--maybe mashed potatoes and roasted veggies.

Re: TG for 2
I do this every year, since I'm overseas and they don't celebrate TG here. I work until 9, so I usually do a crock pot turkey breast. I always do mashed potatoes and a veg side (last year was Brussel sprouts, this year a green bean casserole). Then dessert.
To be honest, it can be kind of depressing. I haven't had a big TG with family in years (working or been overseas). The last time I celebrated with a big group was in 2003 with a bunch of friends. I've kind of gotten used to it, but it isn't the same.
Do what you can, but it can be done!
