Islanders

I tried getting the cheapest tickets online tonight for the first home game. Would you believe the cheapest seats are $120? I love the Isalanders but Im not paying that. I am so disappointed!Chat Icon

Re: Islanders

I just searched now and saw some for 70.00; but for where they're located it is highway robbery.

My seats (low in section 333) have a face value of 100.00, which is disgusting. If I didnt get all of the discounts and end up getting them for ~28.00 each I'd tell them to shove it!

The better thing to do is wait for them to announce the packages; the 'family 4 pack' is usually a very good deal.

I just checked stubhub and I see some there for 55 bucks so thats pretty reasonable too, you might want to check them out.

Re: Islanders

Another big Isles fan here, I just can not afford to go to games anymore. Still can't believe lower 300's are $95 face when they were $40 a few years ago.

Re: Islanders

You can get $25 tickets online from Ticketmaster. They are practically the last row in the upper level, but at the Coliseum, all of the seats are pretty good. I just ordered mine yesterday! Hopefully this season will be better that what we witnessed last night Chat Icon

Re: Islanders

They are the last 2 rows and with some of them you can't see the jumbotron..which is annoying when they're on the PK. Chat Icon

Yeah, if you're on the end where they shoot 2x its obstructed view.

If you are on the Isles side, the view is not as obstructed. When I bought single cheap seats, the people at the window would always push the tickets where they shoot twice and I would always refuse them due to the obstruction and take the other side. They thought I was nuts.

BTW, I noticed at last week's game that when they replaced the screens on the jumbotron, they are a bit smaller. It's crisper, but smaller. It's only a matter of a couple of games before they fail, just like last year. Chat Icon

Re: Islanders

OK so we went to the game on Sat ..nd yeah we won 4-1! Got a free dinner out of it too lol. Anyway, we were on the Isles side in 327 row S (last row). The view was obstructed, but it wasn't too horrible. After the first period, we were actually able to move a couple seats over where we had a better view, but if we had to stay in our actual seats, it wouldn't have been so bad. To me it's worth it to pay $50 for two tix as opposed to $140 fo two tix just a few rows down. We have lots of friends w/ season tix, but I think the prices are ridiculous. I love the NY Isles, they're my favorite sports team, but.... Anyway, here's to a great season! I think Dunham is doing a great job so far, but DiPietro just needs to "heal" and we should see great things from him. On a side note, for those that went to the game, did you SEE the clip of his bday.. Oh my... just an added bonus. Yummy ! Chat Icon God that's bad.. he's just a kid Chat Icon

It was for his 25th birthday, he's of consenting age. Chat Icon

Don't tell anyone, but I have watched it a couple of times on IslanderTV.
