Opinion on dining chairs for antique table
DH and I recently re-finished an old dining table that was in my family for years (it was my great aunt’s). It means a lot to me to be able to hold onto this piece of furniture but we need chairs! We don’t want to break the bank, but I’m having a hard time and wanted to get some opinions. I should say, our style isn’t for everyone, but it’s very us. I guess “eclectic” would be a good word. We have a lot of patterns, blue/gray colors, and mis-matched furniture. Our living room /dining room are open to each other but the kitchen is separate. I'll try to attach some pictures here.
I was instantly drawn to the Seagrass Dining Chairs from PB and thought we could use these as end chairs, but after seeing them in person, I think they are a better side chair. Could we do 4 of the seagrass chairs with two end chairs like this (this is a knock-off of a PB chair too, but the PB version is $$$$). I like the seagrass option because they will clean easily.
Alternatively, there were a bunch of upholstered chairs we liked at West Elm but I worry about upholstered dining chairs. It’ll break my heart if they get stained or ruined.
We are open to any of these or any combination. I really like the idea of having the two end chairs be a different style than the 4 other chairs.
Thanks for your advice!
Seagrass chairs
with two overstock chairs: End charis
OR
Upholstered chairs from West Elm: Porter Chair
with Wiloughby End chairs in sand?

Thanks, Orchid. I think I'm going to go with that combination. I just uploaded some pics of the table, our LR/DR to my albums too. Pics are too big to upload.

Re: Opinion on dining chairs for antique table
I like the first combo as well. The downside of fully upholstered chairs is if they get dirty you're SOL. I have wood chairs with just an upholstered seat. My kids trashed them and I just recently reupholstered them. It cost me about $75 in fabric and they look brand new. They actually look better then band new. So maybe you can find cheap chairs on Craigslist and reupholster them yourself.

Look on world market!!! They have stuff that looks like pottery barn but cheaper. I just bought a table and chairs there and it's great quality.

I pulled the trigger on the seagrass chair from PB and the overstock end chairs. Here's hoping I like them!!!!
