Where to cater Thanksgiving from
I don't know how or why I didn't know this, but my family is going to cater in the main Thanksgiving meal components, as my mother is having surgery that Monday. I work late Wednesday and early Thursday so taking over for her isn't an option. Where is good to cater from? She lives in Oceanside. I live in Farmingdale/N. Massapequa area so I could pick it up as well. Thanks!

Dont laugh but I cater part of the meal from Boston Market. They use butterball Turkey and its ready in the oven bag in a good foil pan ready to pop in the oven. They wrap the the outside really pretty on gold foil and give you instructions. I get a couple of the sides I know are good and do a couple myself.

I remember a couple of years ago, a friend of mine (who actually likes to cook and entertain) wound up ordering everything prepared for Thanksgiving from Stop & Shop, and she said it was really good! I wouldn't have thought of it myself, and I've never tried it. But it may be a good option...

Thanks. These are good options. Funny thing about Boston Market. His agency catered from there the past 2 years for a Thanksgiving dinner. He said it was delicious, but I didn't believe it. I never trust his taste in food

Which sides are good? I haven't had anything from there in many years.

Uncle Giuseppe's and Iavarone will cater the whole meal as well. Uncle G's has some samples of their stuff out on the weekends and it was actually pretty damn good.

My crowd always seems to like their sweet potatoes(comes w brwn sugar and marshmallows to add on top) and the mashed potatoes.stuffing good too. My DH likes their cranberry relish.

I love Happy Hostess!! They are right in Rockville Centre on Sunrise Highway.
Everytime I go Inside I buy there cheese platters and cookies platters to.

I just picked up our order from Iavorone in woodbury...
I must say everything looks delicious!
We ordered:
5 lb turkey breast carved
Tray of cornbread and apple stuffing
Tray of cauliflower oreganata
Tray of smashed sweet potatoes
A rainbow cookie cake
I have to say, it is a gold mine there! It ws run so smoothlynpickingnup your orders. Highly recommend!
