What would you wear
I have horrible fashion sense!
I work in a casual environment and I am a mom to 3 kids so my wardrobe is lacking to say the least.
I have an engagement party saturday at 4 pm at a rest in lynbrook.
I have no clue what to wear and have nothing so will have to buy something by then.
The bride to be is wearing a dress and the groom a button down and pants.
Please point me in the right direction....down to the shoes!
I will add I am tall and I can't just go and buy pants anywhere.

how about a sweater dress with tights and boots? It doesn't sound super dressy if its in a restaurant

You could also do a maxi dress with a cardigan or turtleneck and boots if it's not long sleeved.
I find that you can pick them up relatively cheap in many places and they always get compliments.

You can do anything from nice black pants and a sweater to a sweaterdress and boots.
Whichever you feel more comfortable in should be fine.

You can't go wrong with:
Sweater dress/tights
Dress pants/blouse or sweater/heels
Skirt/Sweater/boots
Sheath dress w/a cardigan and heels
All nice but not "formal"

If you have 'nothing in your closet" I'd suggest getting yourself a LBD -
A wrap dress is perfect b/c it can easily be a staple in your wardrobe, dressed up or down with accessories, shoes, tights etc.

Love the first 2!!!!
Would black flat boots look ok with the first? or do I have to wear shoes?
What kind of shoes would you wear with the second one? My brown boots are very casual and I have a hard time finding boots that fit because my calves are so skinny.
