Please keep our pup in your prayers
Our new dog had to go to the vet for an echocardiogram today because the vet thinks she might hear a slight heart murmur. They are also doing an x-ray on his lungs because he has a little cough some mornings. I am such a mess and so nervous. If you could send any prayers our way, I would really, really appreciate it.
ETA: Our little man has bronchitis, so he is on a stronger antibiotic for that. He has a very minor pulmonary issue--one of his valves is a little smaller than it should be. He doesn't need medication or anything for it; we just have to monitor him and have another echocardiogram in 6-12 months to see how he is. So happy our little baby is okay. Thanks for the prayers

Glad he's OK.
My little 14 yr old chihuahua has had a heart murmur all her life. It's never been an issue

Re: Please keep our pup in your prayers
I'm glad he's ok! Those respiratory issues are tough. When you finish the meds, keep an eye out to make sure they did their job and maybe go back for a followup.
One of mine had heartworm before we adopted her and has a heart murmur too. The vet said it's fairly common and nothing we have to do anything with. She had also had respiratory problems in the past too... I wonder if they are related?
