Girls from SIRM/Dr. Tortoriello

This office is not convenient for me at all. My consult is coming up next week and wondering if he is worth it? I hear amazing things about him and being that I have DOR caused by endo, I am hoping he can find a way to get me pregnant.
Please input.
How did you manage monitoring appointments in manhattan?

I'm biased but IMO it's so worth it! I didn't get pregnant this cycle but the level of care and personal attention is second to none. You will be in shock especially coming from RSNY. No comparison. Good luck with your decision!

I have never been a patient of his, but from the research I have done, I think he IS worth it. I would definitely keep my appointment with him (especially since they take FOREVER to get!)

I am with RMA and will have my procedures in Manhattan and monitoring in Garden City and a surgery in White Plains. Trust me! Its worth the inconvenience. I come from RS of NY and the level of care I get from RMA compared to RS of NY is so much better!!!

Hey. SIRM is not convenient for me either but I made an appointment for February. On a Friday too. Their last app was 4pm so I may have to take off of work for it too since it will take me some time to get into the city and I can't leave work early. I think its worth it to go. I figure if my RE can't get me pregnant at this point then I have to see someone else. A second set of eyes can be helpful. I got lots of testing done with my RE and not much showed up, so I am eager to get further testing (immune) with SIRM. I say go for it! If I really like them then I may have to wait until the summer to cycle again due to it being impossible for me to get there on a work day. If I can't work it out I will consult with other REs on LI. Good luck! If you go, I want to hear how it went.

My RE (RMA) was NOT convenient for me AT ALL. I traveled 200 miles to get there. In the end, it was totally worth it. You gotta do what you gotta do!

Lillies, I know it's way inconvenient for us but think of the results you could possibly get. I know what you mean, it's going to be a two hour drive for me to go see them as well. But, at this point WTH, can't hurt to have a consultation. I have an appointment with them in February. Cant wait. … let us know how your appointment went. I have the same dr as you. Chat Icon

Is Dr. Tortoriello with SIRM or RMA? He is on my insurance website but the other doctor at SIRM, Dr. Wang isn't. Can I just go to Dr. Tortoriello or must you see all the doctors in the practice?

He is with SIRM. You should be able to see both doctors through your insurance. They may have not updated it yet since Dr. Wang has been with SIRM for under two years. Good luck!

Both accept the same ins I believe! I went for Dr. T bc he specializes in losses and endometriosis complications.

Dr T is definitely worth the inconvenience. He was supremely confident he would get me pregnant despite my AI issues....and he got me my twins on the first try! His confidence helped reduce my stress quite a bit. I love that he or the other drs do the procedures themselves, everything under one roof.

I wanted to look into RMA bc they do monitoring on LI but they don't take GHI and SIRM does.

Are you still gonna go now that you are starting IVF?

Did you call RMA? They're website isn't accurate about insurance. I thought they didn't take mine either but i called and they did.

No, I just looked at their website. I think it says they would take GHI OON. Someone on here also had told me they don't take GHI but if I get another BFN I'll give them a call and ask.
