Guess who's starting IVF!!
All cysts are gone so I got the okay to proceed before they close the end of Dec.
My protocol is-
450 follistim
2menopur vials
Originally it was 300 follistim and one menopur plus Femara.
This seems like a pretty steep increase.
Should I be worried about major side effects?

Good Luck! I didn't have any side effects with the follistim, but I was only on 75 a day.

I'm on the same dosage (but taking a different FSH med, not Follistim). I feel the same as I have on lower doses.

I had zero side effects from 450 gonal and 2 menopur. I started with Femara as well. That gave me the usual side effects.
But the injectable meds - no side effects. Don't worry.

I'm worried bc the original plan was to include Femara. Hoping I still get a good response :/ it's my first time so I don't know how my body will do and with my low amh, they are not expecting the best.

Guess who's starting IVF!!
WOO HOO. I had FM you the other day- you prob didn't check it yet- saying I thought you could start IVF bc I started my FET with them and FET usually takes longer. Hmmm maybe we will be transferring around the same time! When I called they said people who were normal responders could start up until Dec 6th. As for the dose I was on 300 Gonal F and 150 Menopur. They will adjust your dose as needed. Let's hope we both have good news before the holidays! GL

YES, please let this be it! If timing works out transfer would be around the 17th. Its gonna be rough taking off that week with the holiday coming and being off the next week but I'll only be able to take the transfer day off. Its annoying bc my job is really stressful but I'll just have to try to stay relaxed. Good luck with your stims tonight!

I am only able to take transfer day off. Even that will be difficult but I have no choice :/ I'm just praying I can get it done on one of my off days! Good luck and keep in touch! Are you going in next week for monitoring?

Yeah well I took off more than one day for IVF #1 and it was a BFN anyways. So I wasted 2 days. Then I only took off 1 day for IVF2 but it was a Friday so I got to relax over the weekend. I think this FET will be middle of the week. It would be nice to be on Sat but I don't think that will happen. I am going in on Friday to my RE (not rsofny but he uses rsofnys lab where my 2 frozen ones are) on Friday for monitoring. I hope everything looks good. I think he will up my Estrace when I go in. I'll also have more of an idea about the transfer date. I hope everything goes well for you!

This is so exciting!! Lol!! We were the ones freaking about not making the deadline and we made it! We owe it to Andy all the way! Lol

Ha. Very exciting but scary at the same time. Our Betas would be right around xmas. BUT I am so glad we made the deadline. I have to talk to Andy when I go in on Sunday to see when I need to go in with a FET. I think he said the night before transfer.
