Cribs right next to each other?
When we first were setting up the twins' cribs I remember it being like a game of tetris to try and fit each crib and the dresser (wider rather than taller). We ended up with the two cribs fairly far apart, but both near a window... Now the day has come when they have ripped down the curtains and the roman shade (literally pulling the screw anchors out of the drywall) and I realize we need to rearrange the room.
Does anyone have both cribs butted right up against each other? Does it cause problems with napping or throwing things between the two cribs? If your cribs are somewhat close together how much space did you leave between the two?
We are limited on space a bit since we are in an apartment, though I'd love to not have to completely switch rooms with the kids just because they like to redecorate during naps.
Thanks very much!

Re: Cribs right next to each other?
I had them next to each other from when they went into their room at 4 months. I JUST had to separate them when Twin B started climbing into Twin A's crib at 2 yrs old (we switched to toddler beds).
They did play together a lot but it didn't really disrupt sleep. The two cribs were side by side with just a few inches between.

Re: Cribs right next to each other?
It ended up being still a very awkward layout when we put the cribs next to each other, so we found another configuration that worked. Thanks for the input!

Since your in apt, if you hear them redecorating I would go in there & yell at them to go to sleep

Re: Cribs right next to each other?
my wife is a twin and their cribs were together. She remembers her sister waking her up all the time. THis is why our girls cribs are not together. However, the one's who's crib was next to the wall with the window when they were tiny, now sits about a foot off the wall.

Mine are about 1.5 foot apart. They play and talk. It's cute.
