give the bus driver a gift at xmas?
It just occurred to me today. My mom used to give our bus driver when we were kids a Christmas gift every year.
Is this something that is the norm? should I be giving her a gift?

I am. I think a DD GC.
She is always so nice, greets DC with a smile and has a wave for me. DC loves the bus and I credit that to her.

Yes, we give the bus driver a gift. They make sure your kids get to and from school safely.
I usually give for one child, $20 cash, this year. Have 2 children on bus, so I will give 40.
Plus she is nice and she drops the kids off right in front of my house so I do not have to go to bustop

I give something small, like a box of chocolates. I think one year I did a DD gift card. Don't really care for the driver to be honest, so I don't go out of my way.

We give a gift from all of the kids at our stop...$20 GC to DD or 7-11. We do the same at the end of the year.

I give both Holliday gift and end of year gift. We have different drivers taking them to and from school. For both kids, I give $20 to each on both occasions.

yes!!! I love my sons driver and from day one when I was a nervous wreck she has made me feel comfortable.
SHe gives them pretzels at Halloween and little gifts at Christmas. She is a very sweet lady.
ETA, last year I gave her $20 target gc, I have seen her in target a few times already. lol.
this year deciding if I will do that or just cash.
