Peppermint Bark

I LOVE peppermint so I was thinking of making peppermint bark this year! I really don't bake much but I figured I would try this out. Is it complicated to make? Anyone have a good recipe? Thanks!

It is super easy. There isn't really a recipe.

Usually it is made with white chocolate & you can add peppermint flavor if you want, and then candy came bits & let it solidify.

I only really like mint with chocolate, so I just melt dark chocolate & add candy cane bits.

Just make sure you use candy making chocolate that doesn't need to be tempered.

I think last time I crushed the candy canes in the food processor. Once I just took a rolling pin to them, but that left dents in my rolling pin.

Re: Peppermint Bark

is there a recipe w/o candy canes? I LOVE the taste, but I HATE biting into candy cane and having anything stuck in my teeth -

You could grind the candy canes really fine in the food processor, or just use peppermint oil.

Martha Stewart made it on the Today Show this morning. If you look on their website (Today.com) you can see the video of it. Super easy!

i can't wait to make it. I ordered really good chocolate dark, white, and milk.
I'm gonna try it different ways.

All you have to do is melt chocolate, pour in a pan add candy canes chopped up and refrigerate. Break into pieces and enjoy!!!

I love williams sonoma's. They do a layer of milk, them white on top I believe.

Peppermint Bark

We do a layer of milk chocolate and let that cool. Then pour the white chocolate on top and swirl in candy cane pieces and let cool. Then break apart into pieces. Soooo easy.
