Need a bathing suit!
I cannot order online--My sizing is wacky (big on top, smaller on bottom).
I just went to Macys Herald Square and there are no suits out--last year there were tons but I think I went a bit earlier.
I really prefer tankinis (not matronly) so if anyone has seen any I would appreciate the tip.

We don't leave until the middle of January but bathing suit shopping is SUCH a pain in the arse! My co-worker just told me that Macy's will have them out right after the holidays so that may work, too.

Not sure where you live but the Jerrie Shop is specifically for bathing suits- they have one in Rockville Centre

There is a store Everything But Water at the mall here in NJ. Maybe they have a NY location

They do and it's amazing! It's in Roosevelt Field Mall. Lots to choose from, big selection of sizes, and the sales people were very helpful. The suits aren't cheap but are high quality and I love the one I got.

You can buy separate sizes for the tankinis.
That's what I do, bigger on top, smaller on the bottom.

order a bunch from asos.com
2 day free shipping over 140 i think then just return for free whatever you do not like.
i ordered $400+ in swimsuits and beachwear in multiple sizes and just sent back what i did not want. way better than whats in stores, imo.
did i mention shipping is 2 DAY SHIPPING

This. They are pretty true to size IMO.
I have separates from there. Boy bottoms and a halter top that "ties" around my neck and I have absolutely no complaints.
I ordered online but I believe Sears carries the line.
I would think stores would start rolling out the bathing suits right now because it's warm vacation season.
Maybe call around a bunch of places if you don't want to take the risk with ordering online.
