what do you look forward to eating Christmas Eve/Day?
I LOVE my sister's shrimp oreganata that she makes Christmas Eve! Can't wait to have that!
Also my MIL makes the best mini baklava cups for Christmas...I am drooling thinking about them!
What do you enjoy eating for the holidays?

Re: what do you look forward to eating Christmas Eve/Day?
Christmas Day...if we're not travelling to see my family (as we aren't this year), then our tradition is to just stay home and I cook up an eggplant parmesan and homemade pasta. We just hang out and watch movies...sometimes we'll invite a couple of friends over, but this year we're keeping it really low-key.
Christmas Eve - I have no idea what we're doing. We're both working that day, hopefully will get out early, but it might just be a regular night for us. Christmas is big when we spend it with my family OOS. His family doesn't celebrate it.

Re: what do you look forward to eating Christmas Eve/Day?
When mom was alive, we would have roast goose for Christmas Eve dinner. I really miss that tradition.
Christmas Day she would make a fresh ham.
My sister usually hosts the Eve, and her MIL or aunt-in-law would make Cuban roast pork with Mojo, black beans and rice on the side. Yummy. For the German side, sis and I would add red cabbage, mashed potatoes and either brussel sprouts or creamed peas and carrots.
I am hosting, so the Roast pork is being replaced with a whole fresh ham. I can taste it already......

I'm counting the minutes until I can make (and eat) my Italian pizzelles made on my grandma's iron pizzelle makers. Nothing like them. So thin, light, and crispy. Pure heaven.

This! My parents host Christmas Eve and my mom makes a ton of seafood and fish! I love the baked clams, shrimp scampi, crab legs, etc. That's what I look forward to most.
Christmas Day, I always make a special brunch for my parents and I look forward to coming up with interesting recipes to incorporate. One year I did gingerbread waffles, one year I did almond and blueberry French toast, last year I made Ina Garten's baked blintzes (plus always a savory egg dish, side dishes, fresh fruit, mimosas, etc.).
I also enjoy the filet mignon at Christmas Day dinner. (at DH's cousin's house)
Love having a variety of appetizers with champagne or prosecco and a splash of cranberry or pomegranate juice. So festive!
Not a huge dessert person, but we always have a huge array of desserts!

Re: what do you look forward to eating Christmas Eve/Day?
Christmas Eve we go out to dinner with my parents because it's my mom's birthday and then we go to DH's Aunts house later. His uncle always makes a big spread and it's different every year.
For Christmas we will spend it at my IL house. I always make arancini that are amazing. and DH's mom makes excellent stuffed shells and chicken in Phyllo dough which I look forward to every year!

Re: what do you look forward to eating Christmas Eve/Day?
We usually spend Christmas day with DH's family doesn't really have a Christmas tradition. Who hosts used to vary, but the last few yea it has been a the same person's house, but the food varies.
I miss my mom's chicken parm!
So, it's really desserts that my dad makes that I look forward to.

Can't wait for my families homemade Agnolini in brodo - homemade pasta filled with a bolognese filling that takes a few days to make and then served in a homemade chicken broth.
There are NEVER leftovers and hardly any talking while it is being eaten because there are just no words for how good it is....I can't wait!!!
