I'm out -- update
All tests are barely there except for wondfos.. Took a digital and it was negative. I am having the cramps from hell so AF is coming!! I just hope it gets here already and isn't delayed so I can start again.
Aiming for consults the next few months and just ENJOYING sex with my DH again... I feel like IVF disconnected us in so many ways and I hated the experience. Happy to have my body back and freedom to enjoy my family again.
Seeing Dr. Tortoriello for a consult on Thursday so hopefully he can figure out why this cycle was such a disaster and most of my eggs were immature.
UPDATE-- AF came just now. Bitter sweet but happy my body knew it was over. As morbid as it sounds, I'm glad my little embie stayed in me until the end. Goodbye 2013!

Those tests are not as sensitive as bloodwork. Also, af signs and preg can be similar, including cramps. I hope you're not out but if you are sounds like a great attitude. And yes, Ivf and all that comes along with it takes it's toll on your mind, body and marriage.

I tested my trigger out and on Saturday which was 10dpo, I was getting dark lines on FRERs but eventually they faded out and now the cramping is starting so I know it's another failed implantation. I'm happy the embryo made it that far.

I really felt like it took a huge toll on our marriage.
Maybe bc we are still newlyweds, we aren't as strong as some of you ladies but we basically hated each other by the end of it. We weren't allowed to be intimate and the hormones made me so exhausted and bloated, I was scared to do anything really. The injections depressed me a lot. I hated having to hide from my DS and he caught me one time and I had to explain that I was giving myself the flu shot lol. DH and I were just obsessing so much about this baby and cycle that we lost track of our family. I'm taking my little guy on vacation to Florida. I'm probably quitting one of my jobs (I have 3).. I'm moving forward in 2014. Looking forward to it!

I know you had to take a break from it all before the IVF cycle, but have you thought of taking a "mental health" break from it all? Just sort of allow you and DH to have that honeymoon period before starting it all back up again? Just lock up all hpts, opks, etc and forget about it for a month or two to reconnect and rebuild that intimacy? I think that a vaca to Fla sounds so amazing (and I'm really jealous, can I come?)!

Yes, exactly Jess. We are probably taking a trip to Puerto Rico this year.. Gotta plan it. So looking forward to that.- just us too which is rare bc we are always in parent mode. I'm obsessed with my son. He is the love of my life so it's hard for me to break from Mom mode but I think it will be appreciated once we have another little one. A nice long trip to our condo in FL will be a nice family trip for us and we are planning that now. No OPKs or FRER. It will be a nice break.

that sounds like such a great plan, and PR, ugh that's awesome!!! I've only been there once and was only there for a day, so totally could have used a week there. Where in FL is your condo? if you say close to Disney I'm going to drop with jealousy!

We are on the Gulf coast and luckily a 45 min drive to disney.. We went last year so this year aiming for LEGO land lol

I am so sorry to hear this... I have been praying for you. You have a great attitude moving forward. Taking a break can really benefit you and your family in so many ways. Hoping 2014 is all you want it to be.

Are you on PIO? It's really unusual to get AF while on progesterone b/c the progesterone will prevent AF from coming. I'd raise that with your RE.
If this isn't it for you, I am so sorry it didn't work out.

I'm on endometrin.
I have gotten AF on progesterone a few times already. Never raised a flag for them.

I feel like no one talks about this, or tells you about this (IVF/intimacy). My DH and I had 3 failed cycles this year and they took a major toll on our marriage. We couldn't BD, and in the windows when we could, the drugs were making me want to do anything than that. We drifted apart, but also had some horrible arguments, some that I never want to think about again.
In the end, it made us stronger. We are on a new path with new drs and I have never felt like more of a team with DH. But it was UGLY for a while.
You have a great perspective. I hope 2014 brings you that baby you're meant to have
