convection oven vs non convection oven

Dh an i are re-doing our kitchen
we are getting an electric range (with a convection oven)
we are on the fence about having a second wall oven since we like to cook and entertain
would you get a second oven that is NOT a convection oven? is there that much of a difference?

the concern is the expense - we budgeted a certain amount for appliances and this will bring us above and beyond what we expect and with a renovation i know there will be other added expenses we havent accounted for
it seems a non convection oven could be about $550 less (or more)

I have a one unit microwave /oven Bosch combo and it does both.

I have a double wall oven, and I use the second oven a lot! I do cook and entertain often, and it's great to be able to cook more at the same time, and have things at different temps, especially when hosting big holidays like Thanksgiving.

One of my ovens is a convection oven (these ovens were there when we bought the house), but I don't use it very often. It does speed up cooking time, but I just don't find the need to do that very often. My DH occasionally uses the convection feature.

If I was renovating my kitchen, I'd say a double oven is a must, but the convection feature would not be that important to me.

I have convection as an option with my oven. NEVER used in 5 years. I wouldn't spend money on it

Our new electric oven works as convection or as a regular oven. The thought of having a convection oven was exciting in the beginning, but it's hard to know how long to cook things for with convection, so now we only use the regular oven.
