Ob/GYN
I just moved to a new state and I'm on the fence about a new gyno to pick...I had a great experience with my last gyno who was a man..but I'm just on the fence. TIA

Re: Ob/GYN
Mine is a female, but she is the only female in the practice, there are 3 other males with her, I guess when I get pregnant I will have to see everyone because it will depend who is on-call for delivery....

Re: Ob/GYN
I couldn't answer b/c honestly over the years I found that I prefer whoever is the better doctor.
I used to refuse to see men until I saw two women who were so rough that I was in pain for a day afterwards then they called me and said I had to come back for another pap b/c they didn't get what they needed - UM NO.
I have seen good men and great women. Right now I see a man - I look at it this way - am I comfortable that they are listening to what I have to say and are they gentle that means more than a woman or man - honestly going to the Ob/gyn is already uncomfortable for me anyway.

Re: Ob/GYN
I had both over the years, male more than female but I prefer female. Since my Dr. (male) just sold his practice. I am going back to a female who has great reviews here.

Re: Ob/GYN
I have always gone with a woman doctor and have been fortunate to have liked them all. I love my OBGYN and it is nice to have a conversation that she knew how I was feeling when I was pregnant with my son or sensitive about the weight I was gaining!

Re: Ob/GYN
I have been to both. I just tried a male ob/gyn and I will NEVER go to a male again. First off, he was so conceited, I felt violated, and he had NO bedside manner. I think females are more compassionate and understand more especially with cramps, child birth etc. It is taking me some time to get over what I just went thru. Sorry to offend anyone- I just went thru a lot in the past month with my MORON of a doctor. Still on the fence about reporting him to the AMA.
