Canceled transfer
On my way to drs I got the call canceling my transfer. There were two fertilized but from what I remember the dr say one didn't grow past 5 cell. I didn't hear anything he said I was too upset. I don't know if I'm overacting but I'm kinda furious The office is saying I cant get a consult until 3 weeks, there all booked up. I'm waiting to hear back from office mgr. is this just RSOFNY or do all RE's operate like this.

Ugh I'm so sorry. My re never did that. Was it supposed to be a 5d or 3d?
I know it sucks but they have no control if they just stop growing. I would also demand a consult this week!!!

It was supposed to be 5 day, on day 3 they call to schedule the 5 day but the don't actually look on the embies ( I asked for a report ). I'm waiting a call back for a thurs apt.

No all practices do not operate that way. That place can be a real nightmare. I'm sorry that happened to you.

RS does not look at embies until right before transfer and I have heard about girls getting there and the Drs having to give the bad news. I am praying my new RE gives me a heads up bc that's a long trip into the city.

No not all practices are like that. Unfortunately RS of NY is. This is why I switched.

So SOrry to hear you are going thru this disappointment. If you cant get an appt I would call dr/office & ask Dr to call you. Tell him you need to speak to him again.

I'm sorry. That news stinks. I think a 3 week consult wait is ridiculous. I would be livid. You deserve better.

Thanks ladies,I ended up getting apt with dr.t on Thursday . Depending on what he says I might have to start thinking of switching, it's frustrating when you want the one on one sometimes

I am also a patient at RS and when my transfer didn't take, they also told me I had to wait. To be honest, I lost it and was hysterical crying and I told them that I refuse to wait that long. They got me an appt a few days later. Unfortunately, I was in this situation twice and twice they fit me in. Sometimes acting crazy works..

I am so sorry.
The less manipulation or bothering the embies the better off. That's just from studies but this is one thing RSof NY believes in. This includes the pics of the embies before transfer. I didn't get one with my frozen cycle and when I asked Dr Trivax said its better if they don't bother them. That resulted in my DD who is almost 5 months.

If you want an appt just go back and demand another consult. They wont refuse you if your there. When my first IVF cycle failed I was crying as they drew my beta and they said something like it could take a couple of weeks and I flat out said no and I got an appt 2 days later no questions asked. Maybe they didnt want me to bring my bit ch out but I was in a hormonal rage.
