Question Re Follow Up Appointment After a D & C

May be a dumb question but how important is it that you go two weeks after your D & C?

Can you wait a few weeks if it's impossible to get there and you feel fine?

Do they automatically send the tissue out and give you a pathology report or only if you asked for one as insurance doesn't cover it?

After my 1st one I didn't even go, I cancelled. I was feeling physically fine and just couldn't deal with it emotionally so I blew it off. My Dr. never mentioned it.
For my 2nd one I went. I did not request any testing on the baby I lost, but I did want to talk to him about having bloodwork done on me.

I think they will only doing testing if you ask. Sorry for your loss

ETA: I remembered he did mention it at my next visit, but said he understood why I didn't go and that was that.

I think they only send the tissue out upon request.
I definitely didn't go to all of my post op appts after my D&Cs. Unless you have a concern, I'm sure it's fine if you put it off.
