So frustrated.
Weeks of being poked and prodded, saline sonogram, ultrasounds, sonograms, blood-blood-blood-blood-blood-blood-blood, Clomid and... I still spot for a week before my period and no one can explain why. I also got--your progesterone is VERY low, and at my following appointment "oh no, your progesterone wasn't low". I'm so tired of doctors using me as a guinea pig to test "solutions" instead of getting to the source of my problem.
Has anyone else experienced spotting for an entire week before your period EVERY time? It may be time for a new specialist...I'm exhausted already and we're still on break from TTC!

Re: So frustrated.
This experience can be very daunting! Yes clomid did make me spot and totally screwed up my period. Have you looked at other practices? I was very unhappy at my initial RE but I thought this was the norm. I soon found out after Seeking consultations elsewhere it wasn't! Good luck.

Re: So frustrated.
This is me, exactly. I always have brown spotting at least 5 days maybe more before my period, I usually have anywhere from 22-24 day cycles. Right now I am on BCP because my OB found ovarian cysts, but even my first month on them I still had brown spotting before my period came, it was very weird.
I will say that, when I conceived my DS a couple of years ago with the help of an RE, my blood test showed that I did not have low progesterone, however I pushed to take crinone after I had a chemical, and that helped me stay pregnant. Not sure if it was a coincidence but I really do think I have low progesterone even though the tests may not say so.
Good luck, if you do find anything out let me know!

So frustrated.
I would suggest getting a second opinion - especially if you are not getting the answers you want.
