Anyone take valium prior to procedures?
My RE prescribed a valium for me to take morning of my egg transfer. (I was a bit anxious the day of the water sono) I have taken Xanax before but never valium.. do you think taking it about half hour prior to procedure would work? or an hour?

I was given Valium to take prior to my transfer. I was instructed to bring it with me. They had me take it about 20 minutes before transfer.

Me...it helped a lot. I was given it before my transfers...God send. Take it an hour before.

Anyone take valium prior to procedures?
Hell yes. I didn't for my first transfer and my body was so tensed up. Second one I did and it was amazinggggggggg. Woo hoo. That one worked by the way...embies were much better quality but I was also super relaxed.

I didn't take it and it definitely wasn't needed. The transfer takes about 2 minutes and is no worse than a pap, maybe if less uncomfy, IMO.

I've taken a valium almost every single transfer, so about 5 out of 7 times. It definitely helps me to relax. The procedure itself is quick but you do have to be relaxed and you lie there for an additional 20 mins.

I took a Valium 30 minutes prior to my transfer. I didn't think I needed it and really didn't want to take it but the Dr advised me to take it to ensure that my body is relaxed.

They gave it to me when I checked in for the transfer. Probably about 20-30 minutes before the procedure. It was awesommmmme

Never wanted or needed it. Transfer is as quick as an IUI and painless so I didn't bother. Not a big meds person.

I never took it for IVF but I did take it for an MRI. It didn't do much for me.

I took for FET. They said it is not for nerves, but to relax your uterus or some other part of anatomy.

Exactly. I cramp easily so it helped me relax physically before the procedure.
