Super Bowl Snacks!
Now that the big game is right in our backyard (NJ), I thought it would be great to post some awesome Super Bowl recipes. My sister and I are invited to a Super Bowl party with our DHs but we want to bring something "different" than we do every year. We're sick of the same old hot wings, buffalo chicken dip, 7 layer Mexican dip etc.
Doe anyone have any great recipes?

Re: Super Bowl Snacks!
Lately I really like soft pretzels dipped in cheese or mustard (I feel like more bars have something like this one), but I don't know how many people would want that. Sooooo...I'm thinking of doing this
Spinach and artichoke stuffed soft preztels

Re: Super Bowl Snacks!
We're totally on the same wavelength. I started growing some sourdough starter last Thurs in my fridge for this reason! I make the KAF recipe for sourdough pretzels. I was going to serve them with a few cheese dips but OMG this sounds so great.
Thanks so much for this idea!

Re: Super Bowl Snacks!
I recently made broccoli pizza/flatbread with white sauce and stromboli (pepperoni, salami, soppressata, mozzarella & provolone). Both big hits!
I also love caramelized onions & goat cheese tarts (put in those little phyllo cups and warm in oven for a few minutes.
I also love to make greek layer dip!

We're going to my mom's house, she's having a lot of food and told me to make 'dips.' I'm making one appetizer dip and one dessert dip.
Jalapeno Popper Dip
Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Dip

Wow. I would make those, but they wouldn't make it out of my kitchen.

Re: Super Bowl Snacks!
I may try this recipe for antipasto squares (maybe without the red peppers, so it appeals to more people). I think it would be good as a snack (as long as the main course wasn't an Italian hero!). They are made with crescent rolls!

I love Obazda, which is a Bavarian cheese spread that goes great with soft pretzels.
4 oz. ripe Brie 4 oz. ripe Camembert 4 oz. softened butter 1/2 c. minced onion 1 T. sweet Hungarian paprika 1 tsp. spicy Hungarian paprika, or to taste 1/2 tsp. ground caraway 1/4 tsp. salt, or to taste Freshly ground black pepper Fresh cream (or beer !) to achieve desired consistency
Mash the cheeses and butter together, add the onion and spices and mix well. Add cream (or beer) to desired spreading consistency.
Refrigerate for a few hours to let the tastes meld together.
If you like a smooth spread, combine the cheeses, butter and spices in a food processor until smooth. Add the minced onion last, by hand.
Serve with more onions, pretzels and bread and beer.
