question regarding injection time

I'll be helping a friend move this weekend, and I know I won't be home in time to take the shot, so I would like to bring it with me. I plan on taking it at the same time I have been, but does it need to be refrigerated, or will it be ok being in the case in my bag? Only issue I have, is that we're not telling anyone about this cycle, so if it does need to be refrigerated, I'm not sure how I will pull this off without questions being asked.

question regarding injection time

None of my meds needed to be refrigerated once I started using them. Just kept at room temp. That was for the Lupron, gonal f and pio shots. I had a little makeup case I would use with my meds when I was out and just do it myself in the bathroom.

Which injection are you talking about? The only one that I always kept refridgerated was my Folistim. If that's the case, then maybe get an ice pack and just keep it with the meds ... to be safe.

Re: question regarding injection time

Don't stress :). You have a couple hour window. You are safe if the injections are between 5pm-9pm, it doesn't have to be exact.

The follistim is good for 90days at room temp and the Gonal are good for 30days. You can keep it out.

Good Luck!!

Which meds are you taking? I have been on Bravelle, Menopur, and Gonal-F. None of those have to be refrigerated. Microdose Lupron had to be kept refrigerated.

When I had to give myself an injection of McdL outside of the home, I just popped an ice pack in a lunch bag. Easy breezy Chat Icon

I'm on Follistim. When I spoke with the nurse, she said I'll be fine to just bring it with me in my bag since it's good for 3 months once it reached room temp.

Thanks guys!
