Paleo questions
Going Paleo will be extremely difficult from me. I love carbs and grains. And beans and peanut butter. And definitely dairy. And processed foods make a regular appearance in our household. I have decided to start small and commit to just making Paleo dinners. Breakfast and lunch I will try to make better choices, but there is no way I can go full fledged right away. I have a few questions though. Where do you buy most of your meat, poultry and fish? Do you find the regular supermarket has enough of a selection? Do you stick mostly with Whole Foods and Trader Joes? Do you only use organic and grass fed meats all the time? I'm going to try to find Paleo substitutions for some of my go-to foods. Rather then buy from the deli, my local market does fresh oven roasted turkey. I doubt it's organic, but at least it doesn't have nitrates or high sodium. What is the closest to milk- coconut milk or almond milk? What should I replace peanut butter with? What do you snack on when you normally like chips? I have read that I can have sweet potatoes, how about regular potatoes? Are there any brands that made Paleo food/snacks. I work afternoons/evenings so if I can have some go-to shortcuts to help get dinner on the table that would be great. And if you have any awesome recipes to share, send them my way!

Paleo questions
I prefer almond milk. I use almond butter for pb cravings. I snack on fresh fruits and veggies but have made veggie. " chips" by sluicing thin and baking. No white potato. After work outs I typically eat a pece of fruit.
For fast dinners you can pre make baked chicken and sweet potato and then just have to re heat. Or use your crock pot. Ill post more ideas when I'm home.
Sorry to be o short with answers just trying to help quickly while at work.

Paleo questions
We get our grass-fed meat from Stop and Shop and our fish from Costco. Costco also has organic Chicken roasters that we get a lot. Not sure where you're located but in Sayville there is a health food store we go to a lot too, Cornucopia. We try to always have grass-fed meat, but sometimes its not possible, we might cut down on the meat portion for that day. We have sweet potatoes, but no reg. potatoes. I make a sweet potato mash with walnuts and butter. We replaced Peanut butter with cashew butter or almond butter. We do a lot of salads for lunches. For snacks we do raw almonds, cashews, or brazil nuts. Guacamole and Gluten Free Chips (the chips are kinda a cheat tho) My husband makes a broccoli, cauliflower and fennel puree that has the consistency of mashed potatoes and tastes delicious. We do shredded zucchini with a garlic/grass-fed butter (Kerry-Gold - that we get from Costco)/wine sauce that. We replaced flour with almond flour, we coat chicken in it for chicken francese. Its hard at first, but then you start to feel better and it becomes a mind set

My Husband had digestive issues for years and this helped him out!!!
BulletProof
ETA: Its a little more strict than Paleo, but its also about what works for you. Once you start to feel better you can experiment. If you notice a certain food that is in the yellow/orange area isn't bothering you, then go for it.

Yes! "It Starts with Food" really explains the effect of different food on our bodies and explains the Whole30 program. Just started my third Whole30 this week. You do not need to read the book in order to do the program. The website is really comprehensive and gives you all the info you need to follow the program. I didn't read the book until halfway through my first Whole30.
