It's truly a beautiful home with a lot to offer. Not only is it cosmetically updated, but a lot of the "big ticket" items have been done in the last 5-10 years, including roof, siding, heating system, hot water heater, electrical service.
I'd be happy to answer any questions, Lilacwine -
1) The basement is a full basement, and it actually has pretty high ceilings for a home of this age. It's partially finished - The finished space is a playroom (could be a nice family room/den space, too) and has a couple of closets. Then there's unfinished space with the laundry, utilities, and more storage.
2) It's actually ideal for LIRR commuters. The current owner's DH commutes, and often walks to the station. You would have your choice of leaving from the Lynbrook station or Centre Ave. (it's close, really even walkable, to either). Because the house is in Village of Lynbrook, you could get a resident pass to park at Lynbrook station, but could also get a non-resident parking pass for the Centre Ave. station.

It's in East Rockaway school district. The house is just south of Sunrise.
Just as fyi - It's not in a flood zone, so there's no flood insurance needed, and the house was completely dry during Sandy. So no concerns about that (just mentioning in case people associate East Rockaway vicinity with storm damage!).
