whats the best website to find homes that are for rent? Like a home you would live in for 6 months to a year not a vacation home.

In my experience, most home rentals ARE listed on MLS through a broker (not necessarily true of apartment rentals). So MLSLI would probably be your best bet. Most of the sites feed into each other, so Zillow, Trulia, etc. would also have rentals (when I have had rental listings, I get a lot of inquiries from those sites). But you should basically see the same listings everywhere.

Some companies keep rentals as exclusives (not on MLS), so you could also check websites for real estate companies in the area you are looking, or even call them, to find out what's available.
