Re: back to running...
I know the feeling....lately I'm in a battle between home/personal stress, snow/cold & school closings, & aches & pains. I did get a 6 mile run in, but lately it's been mental torture to get on the treadmil & physical & mental when I don't....I I chose to run & I feel better today physically & a little mentally.
I can't wait until spring...or at least the ice to melt!

Re: back to running...
I started running again 6 months ago. I've been a lifelong runner and having 2 small children combined with a full-time career, made it difficult to make time for myself.
Now, I look forward to my daily jogs and I have abs again!!!!! Jogging is the best exercise and form of stress reduction in my book! I highly recommended it!!!!

back to running...
Haha I know they feeling. Right after the marathon I needed a break. The training was exhausting and it was so nice to be finished. I finally had my life back somewhat and that felt great too.
I'm finally pretty consistent now. Running 4 days a week including one weekend long run around 6 miles. I love it. I really do. It's honestly the best thing for stress and to keep healthy and fit.

Re: back to running...
This winter has been my most pathetic yet in terms of running. I finally stopped lying to myself that I'll run tomorrow when I hate the treadmill and the roads are treacherous, and promised once the roads clear I'll be back out there

Re: back to running...
I reached the 8 mile mark yesterday. Longest I’ve ever run in my LIFE! Thank goodness I was able to run outside because I did 7 miles on a treadmill and that was torture. I agree with others it’s a great mental and physical escape. When I don’t run or do any cardio for more than 2 days my body goes into aging mode. I feel pain all over the place and start to feel stiff. I have a half marathon in March. I’m just praying I can do the 9 and 10 mile runs outside. Yesterday was the first time I ran outside since a 6 mile run and my shin hurt yesterday. Good Luck!!
