Looking for a NYC Bookkeeping job
My mom's friend has been out of work since May 2012 and cannot find anything. She did work a couple of temp jobs and is connected with an agency but nothing permanent. She literally does not have rent money for March. I am trying to help her. She has searched every online listing. If you know of a company looking for a bookkeeper please let me know. I know she is specially looking for bookkeeping but at this point is desperate and will probably take any office work. thanks for any leads!

Has she checked with small accounting firms. Many times they have bookeeping positions in house for their clients.

Looking for a NYC Bookkeeping job
The Dioocese of Rockville Centre is hiring a part time bookkeeper (drvc.org) not sure how set she is on city. I happen to know this job involves going out to various parishes and schools, so she would need to drive.

she doesn't drive that's why I figured nyc would be best. and i'll ask her about small firms. Thank you!

does she have an accounting degree? cpa?
i know my company is looking for an accounting manager, which requires a little bit more knowledge than bookkeeper.

I don't believe so. She's been doing it forever. Last company she was with for 16 or 19 years I think. Thanks though
