What shows are your pre-k boys watching?
My DS just moved into Pre-k at daycare (he's a Dec b-day so he won't be starting K until 2015) and is talking about all of these shows/characters his friends are talking about. I was just curious.

What shows are your pre-k boys watching?
DS likes Paw Patrol a lot. He's also just started getting in to SpongeBob and Phineas and Ferb

Bubble Guppies
but now he lives for super heroes...so he watches Superman Man of Steel like 5 times a day.
He also just started watching Transformers on Hub.
He watched Power Rangers for a week until i cut that off. He started getting violent with his play fighting.

but now he lives for super heroes...so he watches Superman Man of Steel like 5 times a day.
He also just started watching Transformers on Hub.
He watched Power Rangers for a week until i cut that off. He started getting violent with his play fighting.
Thanks - they sound similar - the ones you listed above are some of our staples.
Which Transformers does he watch? The animated one? We currently watch Rescue Bots but, he has been asking to watch the regular one (since his friends talk about it at school).
I'm not ready to make the leap from Disney Jr and Nick Jr lol!

LOL he watches the cartoon transformers on Hub.
Oh and Wallykazami is a new one. its cute

sometimes some other Nick Jr shows. He does love super heroes, but I never see any show about any of them that isn't so much fighting. He tends to mimic what he watches. Not even sure what channel Superman cartoons would be on. Anyone?

Transformers might also increase the violent play if he likes to imitate tv. We cut off rescue bots and transformers because of this

He did ask to watch Wallykazam this morning. And he's been really into Sheriff Callie's Wild Wild West recently too which makes me happy so I don't have to make tough decisions.
We do watch a lot of Paw Patrol because DS 2 likes it as well (if something is on he has no interest in, he will shut off the tv).
I just wasn't sure if I was being too restrictive or too flexible based on the age and what was appropriate... He was all about Rescue Bots until his friends are now bringing regular Transformers to school... He hasn't asked much about Power Rangers or Ninja Turtles yet - although he does like the characters and knows a bit about them since his classmates have the toys.
I'm not ready for him to grow up! He's got a girlfriend too!

We are still a Nick Jr and Disney Jr. house. My son is 4.5 and he likes Wallykazam and Paw Patrol. But since those channels are always on, he will watch Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, etc. We also watch Sprout, but just no Caillou, because I think he whines too much.
His sister just turned 1, and she likes The Wiggles and Blues Clues, so he's forced to watch those a lot too.
He also loves Monster Trucks at the moment, so we DVR'd the Monster Jam truck show.
He play-acts karate moves, and I don't know if he's getting that from Dino Dan or somewhere else (school even?). I'm not a fan, only because he doesn't know what he's doing and I don't want him doing it around his baby sister.

DS just discovered and LOVES Caillou and Paw Patrol. Other favorites are Sheriff Callie, Bubble Guppies and Super Why.

Just want to add I've tried getting them into other shows on PBS or Disney but they don't care for it. Nick Jr is a must have station for us.

I would think school - I can't recall Dino Dan having much karate.
Thanks for all of your input - it helps to get an idea as to what others are watching to make sure I'm not being too strict or too lenient - seems like I am right on par.
