How accurate is Zillow?
Looking at house values on Zillow. How accurate are these numbers?

I find their numbers to be verrrrrry low. Not accurate at all for me if you look to see what similar houses have sold for in my area.

How accurate is Zillow?
It was more accurate for LI about 2 years ago when we were buying... not so much now from what I can tell.

Not at all accurate.
I never look at "ZEstimates" and I discourage my clients from doing so. The best way to get a handle on your home's value (or the value of a home you may want to buy) is to consult with a realtor, who can do a full market analysis as a complimentary service (or alternatively, hire an appraiser).

Completely inaccurate. For example, my Zestimate is $100k less than the house has appraised for 3 times in the last 3yrs and I'm pretty sure it would be even higher today. On the other hand, my next door neighbor's house is valued at $800k more than mine which is wrong in the complete opposite direction... So I'd place no weight on Zillow

the main issue with Zillow and why is doesn't work on Long island is we don't price by square foot here
I am sure you hear that on all the real estate shows- price per square foot
so with out square footage on all our listings - there is no way to estimate values

How accurate is Zillow?
Zillow is very inaccurate. I just got a full market analysis on our house. It came back 60k more than zillow!!!!! That site is a waste.
