Only one twin invited to a b-day party
My twins are in the same class in pre-school. DS brought a b-day invite from another boy in his class, while DD was not invited.
I am OK just taking him, but am wondering if it would be appropriate to at least check if only boys, or close friends of the birthday boy were invited, as opposed to the entire class. Should I ask the parents (I don’t know them personally, but have their # for RSVP), or is it better to discretely ask the teacher who was distributing the invites. Or should I just let go?

I would assume it's only boys. I might ask another parent nonchalantly, but would NOT ask the part host..

This, she probably just did the boys for cost reasons. It would NOT be OK to ask the host. I would just let it go.

This, she probably just did the boys for cost reasons. It would NOT be OK to ask the host. I would just let it go.
This! The mother may not even know they're siblings and just asked the teacher for a list of the boys in the class.

I would never do this but I had a mother show up with an older sibling for DS bday. I let it go because it wasn't costing me anymore.

totally off the topic but I have had this happen more times than I can count. People seem to think its OK to bring younger/older siblings to a party they werent invited to! 
to the OP - I would just send DS - I am pretty sure the host just invited the boys, a lot of parents do this to keep costs down.

It is totally an all boy's party then. All the parties my DD have been invited to from school have been girls only.

I think it depends, I have had a few times where the mother of a child had to bring a sibling, one just recently. She sat off to the side with him and paid for him and his food ( at a party place). I told her to join us, not to be ridiculous. She obviously had no choice and was trying to stay to the side with the child. It happens.
To bring a sibling and expect a host to pay for them is another thing all together.

While it certainly "depends" I still feel that more often than not it puts the host in an awkward position. In any event, this is why I think starting next year I'm not going to do DS bday at a place anymore or if I do let him pick his good friends and family only. But you learn as you go along.....
