What do you do for extra cash?
I was writing service plans for my old job which averaged out to be about 10-15 hours of extra work a month and the pay was good....like getting an extra paycheck. The work has slimmed down a lot lately. I already work FT though, have a child and working weekends is not really an option, at least out of the home where it will be a constant commitment. Just curious what you ladies do for extra cash. PS: I am not into direct sales stuff either where I would only have family and friends to hit up. I don't need to work per se but like padding my savings for when I need it.

DH is an engineer and serves as a math tutor for some local HS students. I teach private swim lessons to families over the summer.

What do you do for extra cash?
I work 1 SEIT case a week so yes it is out of the home. I also only work 35 hrs a week which is full time for me and i work a flex schedule so anything monday- friday goes as far as my FT job. I do the SEIT case on wednesday which is my day off (we only need to work 4 days a week as long as its 35 hrs). Can you do anything like direct care with kids and adults with developmentally disabilities for even just 4 hours at night? I can assist with getting you set up with 4 hours of direct care! let me know!

Thanks for responding. Can you PM me more info? Maybe if it's one night I could swing it. Or a per diem kind of thing.

Would you need experience to do direct care? I would work with kids in the evenings. Please pm me as well if experience isn't needed.
TIA!

Re: What do you do for extra cash?
It's funny because I just had a colleague email to see if I would be interested in picking up some counseling cases. Generally it's for a couple hours a week. I'll see what comes from it.

Sorry I didn't even see the replies until now!!! Go to ahrc.org and you would search for community habilitation professional. The pay is $13.50 an hour. You only need to work a minimum 4 hours a week. You can also turn down a case based on location. Fm me if you apply so I can put in a recommendation. . Thanks. I think I'm going to pass though. I know the cases I would be doing would pay a lot more since it's actual counseling. I couldn't in good faith accept a role like that.
I always tell people who are looking to get experience or a SAHM looking to make extra $ to check these out.

What exactly is it that you do (the cases/ Part time work) and what certifications are required?

Re: What do you do for extra cash?
I'm a LMSW. This will be providing adjustment counseling to people with brain injury. I don't have the requirements in front of me at the moment but can look them up when I'm at work. I believe you have to have a couple years of actual counseling (not direct care) experience though plus a professional degree.
