sand circle in the backyard

i'd LOVE to do this in my backyard:



think it's realistic? i have the space and the fire pit. just need the chairs. but is having sand there all the time doable? i feel like this is such a stupid question but is it easy to maintain/clean?

theoretically it looks awesome

but i'm sure in reality, that nice neat line dividing the sand from the grass won't be like that and all of the sand will end up in the grass around the circle.

Then once the sand is out of the circle, you couldn't get it back in without then getting grass/dirt in the sand..

at least that's what it looks like to me.

Looks really cute.

But, not to be a buzz-kill, but my first thought after "how nice" was "outdoor litter box for stray cats".

LOL thanks guys. thats why i wasnt sure if it was realistic. ill still make the chairs go around the firepit tho.
