I was just reading some stuff on the Whole 30 diet, and people were all had good things to say.

Re: Paleolithic or any other diet for Autoimmune Disease
My MIL has an autoimmune disease and at one point she saw a nutritionist which really helped her. She eventually found out that she had a dairy allergy and a wheat intolerance. Going gluten free and dairy free helped so much.

I'm doing the blood type diet. I was diagnosed w breast cancer in June and now have lymphedema, so I'm trying to reduce inflammation. A little different than an autoimmune disorder, but I definitely feel a lot better.

There's a group on Facebook called, "the paleo approach community". You will get tons of feedback there.

Paleolithic or any other diet for Autoimmune Disease
I do Paleo due to my autoimmune disease. I haven't had an episode with Alopecia recently. I also have an autoimmune disease that effects my teeth. Unfortunately, I did recently have an episode wiith that. But I am not trying the autoimmune Paleo and removing nightshade veggies to try and fix that.

Re: Paleolithic or any other diet for Autoimmune Disease
I recently spoke with a dietitian that told me my allergies are most likely from autoimmune issues (years ago, I was exhibiting symptoms of lupus). Eliminating gluten helps me (I stay away from gluten free version of foods because they don't sit well with me either).
She suggested the GAPS diet (Gut and Psychology Syndrome), but I don't think I can do that. And if I did, I'd work closely with her because I wouldn't want to do that on my own.
