Michael kors bag repair?!?

I have a michael kors canvas bag with the leather straps. Unfortunately during a home visit at work, one of my clients dogs chewed through one of leather straps. The only good thing is the strap is detachable (it's one of those belt type closures). I'm so pissed. Is there anything I can do? I called the customer service number and unfortunately they don't have a strap to match this bag so I can't just take it off to just replace it. Imagine that?!?! It makes no sense to me, but it is what it is. Can this be repaired or am I screwed? Is there anything I can do? I'm so annoyed!!!

I absolutely love MK but I have to say, if you ordered from the website - it sucks. They'll fix it depending on how long ago you bought it but it takes FOREVER. Maybe that's just my personal experience, but I had a bag that I sent back to fix and I didn't receive it for almost 4 months. If you bought it from Macy's or Nordstrom they're usually pretty good as long as they can track back your order to prove it was purchased there or you have a receipt. Good luck!
