Anyone put on a fence recently?

Contemplating replacing a fence approximately 100 feet with either wood or PVC. PVC, IMO< would be much nicer and durable but also more expensive.

Is the difference from PVC to wood double? triple?

It really depends on what style and quality you are looking for. We are re doing a fence now and choose wood ultimately (cedar) which was more expensive than a lot of the PVC we looked at. If your just doing stock fenced at hd or lowes PVC will be a bit more expensive but they have affordable PVC as well.

We just had our fence installed in February. we went with PVC which is much cheaper than most wood fences which you would think wouldn't be the case. When we asked why it is more money for wood, he said most wood fences are cedar so that's more $$$. Unless of course you are doing stockade which is not cedar and is the cheapest of the three.
