Breakfast Ideas
What do you have for breakfast? I've started tracking my meals in MyFitnessPal and have noticed that my choices are high in calories. But I can't seem to think of low-calorie options. The usual cereals, yogurts etc seem to be too many calories. Thank you!

Re: Breakfast Ideas
I've been having a scrambled egg with LF cheese on a multigrain english muffin. Sometimes I add spinach or a piece if ham to to it. I don't know the calories, but I know it isn't much and it keeps me full.
I saw on pintrest you can make "Egg McMuffins" by using egg (or substitute, egg white, etc) mixed with veggies or whatever, fill muffin tins w mixture. & bake it. Then put them on english muffins and freeze. So you'll have a sandwich every morning. Just pop in the microwave. Plan on trying this

Breakfast Ideas
Egg whites omelette with onions, peppers and spinach. Some cheese on it like feta or low fat cheddar. One slice of whole wheat low fat toast or omit the bread all together. Tea with trivia instead of coffee or sugar free french vanilla creamer is low in Cals and sweetens your coffee. Avocado with your eggs.
Oatmeal with skim milk or even water.

Re: Breakfast Ideas
egg whites, turkey and swiss on a wrap on not wrapped is about 300 calories or less
this morning i made banana chocolate chip cookies, which was 2 ripened banans, 1 cup of quick oats and 1/4 cup chocolate chips, formed into 4 cookies and cooked at 350 for 15 minutes. that was about 4 cookies and 200 calories each.

Breakfast Ideas
I pretty much eat oatmeal with chia seeds, ground flax, and splash of cinnamon powder. It's less than 200 calories and keeps me full.

Re: Breakfast Ideas
I find I feel best & fuller longer with eggs & some fiber. My favorite is egg whites, baby spinach & avocado on a high fiber wrap.

I like egg whites in a high fiber wrap, or an egg on a light multigrain English muffin or a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Almond crunch.

Re: Breakfast Ideas
Love eggs so I do a lot of frittatas - - baked eggs with whatever mix-ins I have on hand. If you go heavy on veggies and light on cheese, it's very calorie friendly and low carb.
Sometimes I will also make an egg (I just crack it in a bowl sprayed with olive oil spray, prick the yolk with a fork, cover in plastic wrap and microwave in 20 second intervals until cooked) and have it on a high fiber, whole grain English muffin or toast with a slice of thin sliced cheese, tomato, spinach, etc. Or eggs on corn tortillas with salsa is a yummy option, too!
Oatmeal is not high in calories if you buy plain oats -- I often make overnight oats (soaked in unsweetened almond milk). You can heat it up in the morning (or eat cold), and mix in fruit, honey, unsweetened apple sauce. I also liked baked oatmeal (like SkinnyTaste's blueberry and banana version).
If your yogurt is high in calories, try to get plain yogurt and sweeten it yourself with fruit, honey, jam. I like vanilla greek yogurt with 1/4 cup of raw oats stirred in (or a tablespoon or two of almonds) and berries or bananas.
I also like a whole grain toasted waffle (I get the nutrigrain/special K ones that are 80 calories) topped with almond butter or peanut butter and fruit.
It may not be what your eating that is too high in calories but the amount. I have a food scale and I try to weigh things like cereals, yogurt, even peanut butter to make sure I am having the appropriate serving.
I also think having the least processed version of any given thing helps cut calories (because there's less sugar, etc.).
