someone to redo my closet

anyone have anyone to recommend? is it a general contractor or should someone specialize in closets?

General contractor or even just a handyman. It depends what you really need done and how big of a job it is. Many of the larger GCs won't take a small job. We just bought a house and are having a GC build a closet for us, but we're doing other work, as well.

ETA: When I say how big of a job it is, I mean, do you have to tear down walls? Move plumbing or electric? Or are you just knocking out the shelving you have and putting up new shelves? The latter is fairly simple and you could probably just have a handyman build it.
