Hi Everyone,
I just got my first BFP this week.
It's still very early, I don't have my first appointment until mid August. But wanted to say hello!
Look forward to chatting with you all!
Quick question - are OTC pre-natals ok until my first visit or should I have gotten a prescription. I was so shocked when I called my doctor's office that I forgot to ask.

Congratulations!
I take VitaFusion gummy vitamins, no prescription needed, they're yummy, and they include DHA + folic acid. My doctor had no concerns w/ it.

Yay! Congrats! OTC prenatals are fine, just make sure you're taking a prenatal DHA as well!

Welcome and congrats!! I take otc prenatals. I talked to my doctor about what I was taking and he was fine with them. Just make sure your vitamin has folic acid. Mine has 1000mcg, i think. I also take prenatal dha.

I take otc target brand prenatals and also prenatal DHA.

OTC prenatals are totally fine. My midwives never prescribed a prescription prenatal, they said OTC are fine. Just make sure it has DHA or take a DHA supplement. I am still taking the CVS brand now while I am breastfeeding.
